The brief
Scholarship schemes fail at the intake. Paper forms mean applicants travel to submit, documents go missing, and the administering team ends up sorting physical files against eligibility criteria by hand. For a state-wide award with a deadline, that is the whole bottleneck.
Intellect Scholarship Foundation needed applications to arrive digitally, complete, and already sorted by scheme. The Kebbi State scholarship sponsored by Rt. Hon. Jatau required its own intake alongside the foundation's general programmes, since the eligibility rules differ.
Applicants also needed to be able to return to their submission rather than complete everything in one sitting, which for students on intermittent connections is not a minor detail.
What we built
Applicant accounts
Students register, log in and return to a part-completed application instead of losing progress. On an unreliable connection that is the difference between an application submitted and one abandoned.
Separate intake per scholarship scheme
The Jatau Scholarship runs its own application route alongside the foundation’s general awards, so each scheme collects the information its eligibility rules require.
Administrative review dashboard
The foundation reviews, filters and processes applications in one place, replacing the physical sorting that consumes most of the effort in a paper-based scheme.
Public scholarship listings
Available awards and their criteria are published openly, so students self-assess eligibility before applying and the foundation receives fewer applications it has to reject.
